  1. NEVER give grass clippings to horses!! It gives them colic. Never feed to animals without owners consent.

  2. You must know where the clippings come from. If weed killer has been applied to the lawn, using the clippings in your compost could kill or stunt the growth on anything the compost is used on. Learned this the hard way.
