5.your boundaries

In your small garden, boundaries or hedges are an important element in view, so it’s really necessary to get them to look good. They don’t need to be the same but try to link them visually. You could have the same type of fence, for instance, and grow climbers up them in coordinating colors. If you can’t change the fences, whitewash them with battens or trellis. Check with your neighbors first to establish whose fence it is and ask permission before doing any work.
